Specific application introduction of various bearings
A bearing is a component whose main function is to reduce the coefficient of friction during the movement of a mechanical rotating body. There are many types of bearings, including deep groove ball bearings, self-aligning ball bearings, thrust ball bearings, self-aligning roller bearings and other types.

So what I want to introduce in detail today is what are the uses of various types of bearings:

1. Deep groove ball bearings can be used in gearboxes, instruments and meters, motors, household appliances, internal combustion engines, transportation vehicles, agricultural machinery, construction machinery, construction machinery, etc. the

2. Self-aligning ball bearings are suitable for bearing heavy loads and impact loads, precision instruments, low-noise motors, automobiles, motorcycles, metallurgy, rolling mills, mining, petroleum, paper, cement, sugar and other industries and general machinery.

3. The combined needle roller bearing is a bearing unit composed of a radial needle roller bearing and a thrust bearing. It has a compact structure, small size, high rotation accuracy, and can bear a certain axial load while bearing a high radial load. And the product structure is diverse, widely adaptable, and easy to install. the

4. Combined needle roller bearings are widely used in various mechanical equipment such as machine tools, metallurgical machinery, textile machinery and printing machinery, and can make the mechanical system design very compact and smart.

5. Thrust ball bearings are only suitable for parts that bear axial load on one side and have low speed, such as crane hooks, instant water pumps, instant centrifuges, jacks, low-speed reducers, etc. The shaft ring, seat ring and rolling elements of the bearing are separated and can be assembled and disassembled separately.

6. Thrust cylindrical roller bearings are mainly used in heavy-duty machine tools, high-power marine gearboxes, oil drilling rigs, vertical motors and other machinery. Joint bearings are widely used in engineering hydraulic cylinders, forging machine tools, engineering machinery, automation equipment, automobile shock absorbers, water conservancy machinery and other industries. the

9. Single row angular contact ball bearings: machine tool spindles, high frequency motors, gas turbines, centrifuges, small car front wheels, differential pinion shafts Double row angular contact ball bearings: oil pumps, Roots blowers, air compressors, Various transmissions, fuel injection pumps, printing machinery. the

10. Tapered roller bearings are widely used in automobiles, rolling mills, mining, metallurgy, plastic machinery and other industries. the

11. Outer spherical bearings are preferred for occasions that require simple equipment and parts, such as agricultural machinery, transportation systems or construction machinery. the

Bearings are an indispensable part of machinery, but for different types of machinery, the bearings used are also selected according to the function of the bearings.

Common bearings and applications

A bearing is a 'component that helps objects rotate'. As the name suggests, bearings are components that support the "shaft" that rotates in a machine. Machines that use bearings include cars, airplanes, generators, etc. Bearings are also used in household appliances such as refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, air conditioners, etc. In these machines, bearings are responsible for supporting the "shaft" with wheels, gears, turbines, rotors, and other parts, and helping the shaft rotate smoothly. Due to the use of many rotating "shafts" in various machines, bearings have become essential components and are known as the "grain of the mechanical industry".

It has two functions:

Function 1: Reduce friction and make rotation smoother There will always be friction between the rotating "shaft" and the rotating support part. Bearings are used between the rotating "shaft" and the rotating support part. Bearings reduce friction for smoother rotation and lower energy consumption. This is the biggest role of bearings.

Function 2: Protect the rotating support part and keep the rotating "shaft" in the correct position. There will be a lot of force between the rotating "shaft" and the rotating supporting part. Bearings prevent the rotating support part from being damaged by this force, keeping the "shaft" of rotation in the correct position. It is precisely because of these functions of the bearing that we can use the machine repeatedly for a long time.

01  Angular contact ball bearings

There is a contact angle between the ring and the ball, and the standard contact angle is 15° (mostly used for large precision bearings), 30° (mostly used for precision spindle bearings) and 40° (suitable for large axial loads) , The larger the contact angle is, the greater the axial load capacity is, and the smaller the contact angle is, the more favorable it is for high-speed rotation. Single row bearings can bear radial loads and one-way axial loads. Structurally, two single row angular contact ball bearings combined on the back share the inner ring and outer ring, which can bear radial load and bidirectional axial load.

Main application: single column: machine tool spindle, high frequency motor, gas turbine, centrifugal separator, small car front wheel, differential pinion shaft. Double column: oil pump, Roots blower, air compressor, various transmissions, fuel injection pump, printing machinery.

02  self-aligning ball bearing

Double rows of steel balls, spherical raceway inside the outer ring, can automatically adjust the axis misalignment caused by the deflection or misalignment of the shaft or housing. Tapered bore bearings can be easily mounted on the shaft with fasteners and mainly bear radial loads.

Main application: woodworking machinery, textile machinery transmission shaft, vertical self-aligning bearing with seat.

03  Spherical roller bearing

This bearing is equipped with spherical rollers between the outer ring of the spherical raceway and the inner ring of the double raceway. According to different internal structures, it can be divided into four types: R type, RH type, RHA type and SR type. Since the arc center of the outer raceway is consistent with the bearing center, it has self-aligning performance, so it can automatically adjust the shaft or housing. Axial misalignment caused by deflection or dislocation can bear radial load and bidirectional axial load.

Main applications: papermaking machinery, deceleration devices, railway vehicle axles, rolling mill gearbox seats, rolling mill roller tables, crushers, vibrating screens, printing machinery, woodworking machinery, various industrial reducers, vertical self-aligning bearings with seats .

04  Thrust self-aligning roller bearing

In this bearing, the spherical rollers are arranged obliquely. Because the raceway surface of the raceway is spherical and self-aligning, the shaft can tolerate some inclination and has a large axial load capacity. It can not only bear axial load, but also bear certain radial load, and it is generally lubricated with oil when in use.

Main applications: hydraulic generators, vertical motors, propeller shafts for ships, reducers for rolling screws in rolling mills, tower cranes, coal mills, extrusion machines, and forming machines.

05  Tapered roller bearings

This type of bearing is equipped with truncated cylindrical rollers, and the rollers are guided by the large rib of the inner ring. The apex of each conical surface of the inner ring raceway surface, outer ring raceway surface and roller rolling surface intersects on the center line of the bearing in design. on point. Single-row bearings can bear radial loads and one-way axial loads, double-row bearings can bear radial loads and two-way axial loads, and are suitable for heavy loads and impact loads.

Main application: Automobile: front wheel, rear wheel, transmission, differential pinion shaft. Machine tool spindles, construction machinery, large agricultural machinery, gear reduction devices for railway vehicles, roll necks and reduction devices for rolling mills.

06  deep groove ball bearing

Structurally, each ring of a deep groove ball bearing has a continuous groove raceway whose cross-section is about one-third of the equatorial circumference of the ball. Deep groove ball bearings are mainly used to bear radial loads, and can also bear certain axial loads.

When the radial clearance of the bearing increases, it has the characteristics of angular contact ball bearings and can bear bidirectional alternating axial loads. Compared with other types of bearings of the same size, this bearing has a small friction coefficient, high limit speed and high precision, and is the preferred bearing type for users.

Main applications: automobiles, tractors, machine tools, motors, water pumps, agricultural machinery, textile machinery, etc.

07  Thrust ball bearing

It consists of a washer-shaped raceway ring with raceways, balls and a cage assembly. The raceway ring that fits the shaft is called the shaft ring, and the raceway ring that fits with the housing is called the seat ring. The two-way bearing is matched with the dense shaft of the middle ring, the one-way bearing can bear one-way axial load, and the two-way bearing can bear two-way axial load (neither can bear radial load).

Main application: automobile steering pin, machine tool spindle.

08  Thrust roller bearings

Roller bearings are used to bear the combined axial load of a shaft dominated by axial loads, but the radial load must not exceed 55% of the axial load. Compared with other thrust roller bearings, this bearing has a lower coefficient of friction, higher speed and self-aligning ability. The rollers of 2000 bearings are asymmetrical spherical rollers, which can reduce the relative sliding between the rollers and the raceways during operation. In addition, the rollers are long and large in diameter, the number of rollers is large, and the bearing capacity is large, so oil lubrication is usually used, and grease lubrication can be used in some low-speed situations.

Main application: hydroelectric generator, crane hook.

09  Cylindrical roller bearings

The rollers of cylindrical bearings are usually guided by the two fixed sides of the bearing ring. Cage rollers and guide rings form an assembly that can be separated from another bearing ring, which is a separable bearing.

This type of bearing is easy to install and dismount, especially when the inner and outer rings need to have an interference fit with the shaft and housing. This type of bearing is generally only used to bear radial loads, and only single-row bearings with flanges on the inner and outer rings can bear small steady axial loads or large intermittent axial loads.

Main applications: large electric motors, machine tool spindles, axle boxes, diesel engine crankshafts, automobiles, gearboxes, etc.

10  Four point contact ball bearing

Can withstand radial and bidirectional axial loads. A single bearing can replace a combination of front and rear angular contact ball bearings, suitable for bearing pure axial loads or composite loads with large axial load components. When subjected to axial load in any direction, this type of bearing can form one of the contact angles, so the ring and ball always come into contact at the three cutting points on either side of the contact line.

Main uses: aircraft jet engines, gas turbines.

11  Thrust cylindrical roller bearing

It consists of a washer shaped raceway ring (shaft ring and seat ring), a cylindrical roller, and a cage component. The cylindrical roller is processed into a convex surface, and the pressure distribution between the roller and the raceway surface is uniform. It can withstand unidirectional axial loads, has a large axial bearing capacity, and strong axial rigidity.

Main applications: oil rig, iron and steel making machinery.

12  thrust needle roller bearing

The separation bearing is composed of a raceway ring, a needle roller, and a cage component, and can be combined to thin or cut thick raceway rings at will. Non separable bearings are integral bearings composed of precision stamped raceways, needle rollers, and cage components, which can withstand unidirectional axial loads. This type of bearing takes up less space and is conducive to compact mechanical design. Most bearings only use needle and cage components, and the mounting surfaces of the shaft and housing are used as raceways.

Main use: Transmission device for automobiles, cultivators, machine tools, etc.

13  Thrust tapered roller bearing

This type of bearing is equipped with flat tapered rollers (with a spherical end), which are precisely guided by the retaining edges of the raceway rings (shaft and seat rings). In design, the vertex of each conical surface of the shaft ring and seat ring raceway intersects with the rolling surface of the roller at a point on the bearing centerline. Unidirectional bearings can withstand unidirectional axial loads, while bidirectional bearings can withstand bidirectional axial loads.

Main applications: one-way: crane hook, oil rig swivel. Bidirectional: Roll neck of steel rolling mill.

14  External spherical ball bearing with seat

The outer spherical ball bearing with seat is composed of outer spherical ball bearings with seals on both sides and cast (or steel plate stamped) bearing seats. The internal structure of the outer spherical ball bearing is the same as that of the Deep Groove Ball Bearing, but the inner ring of the bearing is wider than the outer ring. The outer ring has a truncated spherical surface, which can automatically align with the concave spherical surface of the bearing seat.

Main applications: mining, metallurgy, agriculture, chemical industry, textile, printing and dyeing, conveying machinery, etc.
