Install using copper bars and manual hammering. Suitable for small and medium-sized bearings, especially those with tight inner ring fit and loose outer ring fit. Press the copper rod tightly against the end face of the bearing inner ring, directly tap the copper rod with a hammer, and slowly install the bearing onto the shaft through the force transmission of the copper rod. During installation, avoid hitting only one side or applying too much force. Instead, tap evenly and gently to slowly install the bearing to prevent tilting or cracking. Install using a sleeve. Similar to the installation method of copper bars, it is suitable for installation inside the shell hole. During installation, press down on the outer ring end face and tap with a hammer to evenly distribute the pressure throughout the entire ring end face.

Press in method installation. Bearings suitable for interference fit. The installation pressure should be directly applied to the end face of the bearing ring to avoid causing pressure damage on the working surface of the bearing.

Heating installation. For bearings with large interference or large-sized bearings, the principle of thermal expansion and contraction can be used to heat the bearings in the oil tank and install them with copper rods, sleeves, and hammers. The heating temperature is generally controlled below 100 degrees, and 80-90 degrees is more suitable to avoid annealing of bearing rings, raceways, and rolling elements, which may affect hardness and wear resistance.

In addition, before installation, it is necessary to check whether the bearing model is correct and whether the fit size with the rotor shaft is appropriate. For new bearings, it is also necessary to check the fit size between the bearings and the rotor shaft. Control the amount of oil in the bearings and bearing chambers during installation to avoid slipping or poor lubrication of the bearing rolling elements. For bearings with insulated outer rings, it is important to avoid damaging their insulation during installation to prevent oil film breakdown by shaft voltage, which may affect lubrication and bearing life.
