Installation of rotary table bearings
Before installing the rotary table bearing, the installation surface of the host machine must be inspected, and the supporting parts should have sufficient strength. The connecting surface should be machined, and the surface should be flat and free of debris and burrs. For those that cannot be machined to achieve the required flatness, special plastics with high injection strength can be used as fillers to ensure the accuracy of the installation plane and reduce vibration.
The ring of the rotary table bearing has a quenched soft band area, which is marked with "S" on the end face of the ring. When installing, the position of the soft band should be placed in the non load area or non frequent load area (the plug hole is always located at the soft band).
When installing the rotary table bearing, radial positioning should be carried out first, the installation bolts should be tightened crosswise, and the rotation of the bearing should be checked. When tightening bolts, there should be sufficient pre tightening force, which should be 70% of the yield limit of the bolt material. Installation bolts should be equipped with tempered flat washers and spring washers are strictly prohibited
Maintenance of rotary table bearings
After the rotary table bearing is installed and put into operation for 100 consecutive hours, it should be thoroughly checked whether the pre tightening torque of the installation bolts meets the requirements. The above inspection should be repeated every 500 consecutive hours of operation in the future.
After the installation of the rotary table bearing, an appropriate amount of lubricating grease should be filled, and the bearing should be rotated while filling to ensure uniform distribution of lubricating grease. After a period of operation, the rotary table bearing inevitably loses some lubricating grease. Therefore, lubricating grease should be replenished every 50-100 hours for normal operation of the rotary table bearing.
Transportation and storage of rotary table bearings
During transportation, bearings should be placed horizontally on transportation vehicles, and measures should be taken to prevent sliding and vibration. If necessary, auxiliary support should be added.
Causes of failure during operation
a. Contact fatigue failure
b. Wear failure
c. Fracture failure
d. Failure due to clearance change
During the operation of the rotary table bearing, due to external or internal factors, the original fit clearance changes, accuracy decreases, and even causes "seizure", which is called clearance change failure. External factors such as excessive interference, inadequate installation, expansion caused by temperature rise, instantaneous overload, and internal factors such as unstable residual austenite and residual stress are the main reasons for the failure of clearance changes.
