Spherical Roller Bearings

1、 Characteristics

Self aligning roller bearings are double row non separable bearings - including solid outer rings with spherical raceways, solid inner rings, and drum shaped rollers with retainers. The inner ring has cylindrical or conical holes. The symmetrical drum shaped roller can be freely adjusted in the outer ring spherical raceway. Therefore, it is possible to compensate for the bending of the shaft and misalignment of the mating surface, please refer to the compensation for angle misalignment. Most sizes of self-aligning roller bearings are designed with X-life. These bearings have better kinematic performance and optimized raceway surfaces, and are made of high-performance materials without intermediate ribs. Therefore, under the same working conditions, the basic rated dynamic load and basic rated life of bearings are significantly improved. In some applications, this means that smaller bearing layout designs can be chosen. The self-aligning roller bearings of X-life have the suffix E1 and are indicated in the dimension table.

2、 Radial and axial bearing capacity

Self aligning roller bearings can withstand bidirectional axial forces and high radial forces. They are designed for high load-bearing capacity because they have as many and as long drum shaped rollers as possible, and self-aligning roller bearings are also suitable for extremely heavy loads. The optimized fit between the rollers and raceways ensures a uniform stress distribution within the bearing.

3、 Cylindrical hole bearing

All series of self-aligning roller bearings have cylindrical hole designs on their inner rings.

4、 Tapered bore bearing

Except for series 233. - A, all other self-aligning roller bearings have a tapered hole design on the inner ring. The suffix K of the bearing indicates an inner hole taper of 1:12. The bearing series 240 and 241 have designs with an inner hole taper of 1:30, with suffix K30. Bearings with fixed or detachable sleeves

The self-aligning roller bearings with tapered holes can come with locking sleeves, locking nuts, and adjusting washers or withdrawal sleeves. Tight or detachable sleeves need to be ordered separately.

5、 Sealing

6、 Lubrication

Open type self-aligning roller bearings can be lubricated with oil or grease. Most self-aligning roller bearings have a lubrication groove and three lubrication holes on the circumference of the outer ring, with an outer diameter of 320 mm. The 239 series bearings have the suffix S. The inner diameter is less than 35 mm, and the 213 series bearings do not have lubrication grooves and holes. If using self-aligning roller bearings to support the vertical shaft, it is necessary to ensure a reliable supply of lubricant for the bearings. In this case, oil lubrication should be used.

7、 Working temperature

The size of the self-aligning roller bearing stabilizes at a temperature of+200 ° C. The working temperature range for self-aligning roller bearings with metal cages is from -30 ° C to+200 ° C. Bearings with fiberglass reinforced nylon cages are suitable for operating temperatures up to+120 ° C.
