When the pressure is high, the oil is pressed out of the bearing and then operates in a dry state, producing high operating temperatures. So components that work under high loads require more viscous lubricating oil. When the speed is high, use oil with lower viscosity; On the contrary, when the speed is low, use oil with higher viscosity. Too dry oil usually causes an increase in bearing temperature for faster speeds. When the speed and pressure are relatively high, the oil with lower viscosity will not be squeezed out of the bearing, because when the shaft rotates, it fiercely absorbs the thin oil, like a pump, squeezing the oil pressure between the sliding surfaces, separating them, and forming liquid friction.
Under low temperature conditions in winter, when mining crushing equipment is working in the open air, the viscosity of the lubricating oil should be the smallest. Because when the temperature decreases, the oil quickly condenses and hardens violently, resulting in significant resistance in the moving parts of the machine. To solve this problem, lubricating oil with a condensation temperature of 5-10 degrees Celsius lower than the surrounding air temperature is usually used. In the absence of such lubricating oil, thicker lubricating oil can be converted into thinner lubricating oil by using various additives or infiltrating diesel and solar oil. The amount of infiltrating oil is determined based on the corresponding actual situation.
When selecting the type of oil or replacing it, the degree of wear and tear on the components should be considered. Use sticky oil in easily worn parts and components. When one type of lubricating oil is replaced by another, it can be used according to its main quality index - viscosity; When used at low temperatures, the condensation temperature of the oil should be considered.
Reasonable and correct selection of the type of lubricating oil for the crusher is crucial for the efficient production and maintenance of the crushing machinery. Adjusting the axial clearance for the installation of tapered roller bearings can be achieved by adjusting the nuts, washers, and threads in the bearing seat holes on the shaft neck, or by using methods such as pre tightening springs. The size of axial clearance is related to the arrangement of bearings during installation, the distance between bearings, and the material of the shaft and bearing seat, and can be determined based on working conditions.
For high load and high speed tapered roller bearings, when adjusting the clearance, it is necessary to consider the impact of temperature rise on the axial clearance, and estimate the reduction in clearance caused by temperature rise. In other words, the axial clearance should be appropriately adjusted to be larger.
For bearings with low rotational speed and bearing vibration, installation without clearance or with preload should be adopted. The purpose is to create good contact between the rollers and raceways of tapered roller bearings, distribute the load evenly, and prevent the rollers and raceways from being damaged by vibration and impact. After adjustment, the size of the axial clearance is checked with a dial gauge.
