1、 Contact fatigue strength

2、 Wear resistance

In order to increase the wear of bearing parts, maintain bearing accuracy and stability, and extend service life, bearing steel should have good wear resistance.

3、 Hardness

Hardness is one of the important qualities of bearing quality, which indirectly affects contact fatigue strength, wear resistance, and elastic limit. The hardness of bearing steel under operating conditions should reach HRC61~65, which enables the bearing to achieve high contact fatigue strength and wear resistance.

4、 Rust prevention performance

In order to avoid corrosion and rusting of self-aligning roller bearing parts and finished products during processing, storage, and use, it is requested that bearing steel should have good rust prevention performance.

5、 Processing performance

In the consumption process of bearing parts, there are many cold and hot processing processes. In order to meet the requirements of small quantities, high efficiency, and high quality, bearing steel should have good processing performance. For example, cold and hot forming performance, cutting performance, hardenability, etc.

In addition to the basic requirements mentioned above, bearing steel should also meet the requirements of appropriate chemical composition, average external structure, less non-metallic impurities, compliance with specifications for external surface defects, and non exceeding the regular concentration of decarburization layer on the surface.

Application field and scope of bearings

As an indispensable component in precision machinery and precision machine tools, bearings have become increasingly popular in China due to the increasing number of machine tool companies manufacturing them. Therefore, in which fields and equipment can bearings be applied?

The first application is in machine tool production enterprises. At present, most bearings are mainly used in high-precision machine tools, grinders, etc. The emerging robot industry has a promising future, and more and more companies are recognizing and using robots as a substitute for manual labor. This high-tech industry naturally cannot do without these components such as bearings

The bearing, due to the split inner or outer ring, is fixed together with the roller shaft ring after installing the roller and spacing retainer to prevent mutual separation, so the operation is simple when installing the column shaft ring. Due to the arrangement of the rollers, only one set of roller collars can withstand loads in all directions, which increases the rigidity by 3-4 times compared to traditional models. At the same time, due to the fact that the inner or outer ring of the bearing is a two segmented structure, the bearing clearance can be adjusted, allowing for high-precision rotational motion even when preloaded.

1. Bearings can be easily assembled in various directions of the spindle, and can be produced in large quantities through standardization and serialization, making assembly and use more convenient.

2. Bearings can withstand both radial and axial loads, so the structure of bearings can be much simpler than that of multiple sets of combined bearings.

3. Due to its high rotational efficiency and low heat dissipation, bearings consume less lubricating grease.

4. The radial and axial dimensions of bearings can be maximized, thus saving space. High precision and high rigidity applications with small dimensional requirements can be used.

At present, the application of self-aligning roller bearings in China is not very widespread. In fact, bearings can be applied in various industries, including various machine tools, small ones to robot joints, cameras, medical devices, and so on.
